Now let’s get a few last things straight:
- Nothing is ‘Free’ when it comes to Photoshop. Anyone offering you a ‘free copy’ is breaking the law
- A ‘cracked’ version may not function correctly, or worse, may damage your system.
- Holding out for the impending next release may not be the best plan.
If you have a need for the features of CS4, and expect to be using it right away, Buy Photoshop NOW and use it. The up-to-date version, Photoshop CS4, has some improved tools and has been well reviewed.
Like everything in the tech world, things are progressing all the time. If you aren’t ready to use new software, or a new gadget, I say…wait. There will be a ‘new something’ available whenever you decide to buy, and probably with more features for the money, too.

Will be a little while yet. Seeing as there are issues with CS4 on OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), Adobe should be pushing to release this instead of working on a patch for CS4. Lets hope we aren’t waiting too long.

That warping technology is already found in After Effects known as the Puppet Tool but it’s cool they are adding it to Photoshop as well so now you don’t need to open up AE to use this technology.
I like having multiple ways to access a particular tool or work method. Adding it to PS will make some things easier for the user who needs it.

I don’t know where you found this offer, but offers change all the time.
I would expect, that after any official announcement, that old offers would expire and new ones would take their place. There is generally a delay between the ‘announcement’ and the ‘release’.
But, no one knows till it happens.
