Yes, you probably will have to update after installation if you are installing from the physical disks. If you are installing from a new downloaded file, it should be current on all updates.

Whenever I install new software, I immediately run an update just as a matter of practice.

Thank you for posting this about the updates. I expected to hear from Adobe that Lightroom had been updated, but :>(

I just ordered the student version of the Design Suite through your site. Will I have to update that as well?
