Just In: In what may be one of the first ‘official’ announcements about specific New Features to be included in Adobe Photoshop CS6, Creative Suite 6, and Adobe Camera Raw 7, Bryan O’Neil Hughes, Senior Photoshop Product Manager, has released a new Sneak Peek #1 video.
Adobe Photoshop CS6 – a few New Features:
- Dark UI (User Interface)
- This has been leaked for a long time
- Now it is confirmed, officially
- Choices of different brightness Workspaces
- Can be changed through Preferences to varied brightness by ‘stops’ (think F-Stops)
- Matches Lightroom 4 interface
- Matches Adobe video apps (think Premiere CS6, After Effects CS6, Audition CS6)
- Background color can be changed rapidly – at will

- Rich Cursor Support
- Clear visual representation of Brush qualities
- Diameter
- Hardness
- Opacity

Adobe Camera Raw 7 New Features:
- Redesigned Camera Raw Slider Panels
- New Sliders Align to ’0′ (zero)
- Midpoints of Adjustment Sliders are all aligned
- Better Highlight and Shadow recovery
- Clarity Slider refines without introducing ‘halos’
- Adjustment Brush has many new capabilities
- Adjustment Brush can ‘brush in’ the following:
- Tone Adjustment
- Reduce Noise
- Sharpen
- Graduated Filter has added capabilities as well
- New Process 2012 features
- Available now through the Free Lightroom 4 beta
- To be included in Camera Raw 7
- To be included in Photoshop CS6
